Why Won't it Center?

I wanted to align some text in the center, and it looked fine, but when I clicked "save comment", it presented it as if it was aligned to the left.
I edited the post only to discover that in the edit box it WAS center-aligned.

What am I doing wrong?

    EDIT: so apprantly there does seem to be an issue with alignment

    I can get centering to work in Google Chrome, but not Firefox.

    Edit: went over to Chrome to double check by centering this.

    Well it seems to work in Chrome.
     
    Looks like it works in Internet Explorer as well.
