I'm not saying Bethesda or the game is homophobic, just that the NPCs might be. I figured with all the stupid excuses they'll find to insult you, homophobia wouldn't surprise me.

But there's legitimately no basis for that, is all I'm saying. No NPCs in this game say anything about sexuality, and no insults they do say have anything to do with it, so where is the basis for saying they're homophobes, y'know?

They might be assholes, but nobody in their entire world seems to give a damn whether you wanna marry a guy or a girl. That's one good thing about the people in Skyrim, and I don't get why you'd look for reasons why they'd be PIZZZAA people in that regard too.

It's just that my standard in Skyrim is to assume that they hate everything about you until they tell you themselves that they don't. I mean, they'll hate you just for wearing a single piece of the wrong armor. That's why we're clashing so much: I assume they hate you until they say they don't, you assume they don't hate you until they say they do. It just says that I'm more pessimistic about the people of Skyrim and you're more optimistic. Where we do agree though is that Bethesda did well making same sex marriage an option in Skyrim.

Yeah, I guess that is it then. Though I feel like it can only be a good thing that nobody had to come out and say "oh, by the way, we don't mind that you're marrying a dude. Go for it!" I feel like if they did, it'd only serve to take away from the clear lack of any difference between gay and straight couples in this game. Everybody is completely equal in that regard, as far as I can see. I feel like if they hate you for something, they'll always say so, and they say so all the time, so why'd you assume they hate extra stuff about you that nobody cares about enough to mention.

I have nothing to say other than you've convinced me. Thank you! :)

I can't believe myself the very reason I thought they must be was the reason they couldn't be! Fantastic!

Personally played a Breton Warrior Mage specialising in Healing and Destruction magic, light armour, sneak and one handed weapons. I also really enjoyed the Dawnguard DLC and enjoy playing as a vampire lord, also I love the Hearthfire DLC. It just makes the game much more realistic and I enjoy having my own estate. My favourite quest has to be the Nightingale/Thieves Guild quest line (I'm sorry but all their missions are soo much fun! I couldn't choose one!)

I have a Khajiit stealth assassin character and an orc duel-wielding sword melee character. I also absolutely love the Thieves Guild and Nightingale quest line. and building the manors from Hearthfire.

Right now I'm playing as a Dark Elf mage named Ashara. She's basically a bald, stone cold bitch a la Furiosa who has no time for bullshit but is too honorable to steal a horse, so she just spends her time galavanting across Skyrim taunting dragons. I'm pretty new to the game so right now I don't really have a favorite quest.
