Help bring public domain books to the internets!

Hello! I wanted to let people know about an awesome resource for making a difference in the world of books: helping turn public domain books into ebooks for Project Gutenberg. Distributed Proofreaders (https://www.pgdp.net/) "provides a web-based method to ease the conversion of Public Domain books into e-books. By dividing the workload into individual pages, many volunteers can work on a book at the same time, which significantly speeds up the creation process." This helps decrease world suck by increasing access to literature! I was shocked to find that there wasn't a Nerdfighter group already in existence, so I made one: https://www.pgdp.net/c/stats/teams/tdetail.php?tid=695 It takes about ten minutes to edit a page (if that), so your coffee breaks can help archive literature for everyone for ever.

Everybody is loose to apply or reuse it. users aren't simplest allowed to legally download the e-book edition of the name that entered the public domain. everybody is also loose to reuse and remix it, for instance, publish a new edition. therefore, in primary bookstores, you could find public area books that are not free.
